July 4, 2009Well it is the Fourth of July and I thought I should declare Independence for Vegan and Vegetarian Choices by updating the Restaurant Locator. I have added some new restaurants, updated some information about old restaurant listings and removed those unfortunate restaurants that went by the wayside. The exciting thing is that VegDetroit has more vegan and vegetarian listings than its competitors VegDining.com and VegMichigan.org. My mission is to keep VegDetroit the premier Vegan and Vegetarian Guide for Detroit and the four counties of Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne. Currently VegDetroit has 114 listings. 54 of these listings are for restaurants associated with national chains. Where I have not had the time to list every individual restaurant belonging to a national chain, I have added a link to the national chain so you can use their restaurant locator to find the restaurant of your choice. These chain links appear at the top of the listing before the individual cities. 86% of the restaurant listings are linked to the restaurants own website so you can check out their menu and ambiance.
